Known Clans of Shén

Fiercely loyal and honorable, the members of the Lion Clan embody purity in form and function. They tend to play defensibly, are tough, and gain benefits from their Pride mates. Their realm is one of the most stable of those currently known. The Lion Clan's Lore Keeper gathers and maintains the Realm's Histories, preserving knowledge of traditions and culture and fiercely protecting them for the next generation. 

​Savage and wild, the Wolf Clan maintains balance between the physical and spirit world. They tend to play in a balanced form with the ability to influence Shén, adapt to changing conditions, and mold the battlefield to protect the pack. Their abilities offer many opportunities for pack focused synergies. 

​The Hawk Clan is unique, adapted to an aerial existence on their home realm after their surface realm became uninhabitable, they embraced clean technological advancements and are highly mobile, can field cybernetic drones, and are highly attuned to their Celestial's power who provides some control over the physics of their physical world.

The Snake Clan thrives on the misery of others. Lurking in a mostly underground realm, they have fostered a close relationship with their Celestial, who has gifted them with the ability to infuse other Clan spirits with malice and poison. By confusing, draining and manipulating both the physical and spiritual entities of the other Clans they slither and corrupt their way to dominance with little regard for the living or natural order.

​The Nautilus Clan ebbs and surges like the ever changing tide. Adapted to a mostly aquatic existence on their Home realm and closely attuned to the highly cerebral nature of their Celestial, they have many unique abilities such as mind control, influence over states of matter, and even travel instantaneously through portals.

​The Kitsune Clan is the most volatile of the clans. Embracing the fire and smoke of industry they field mechanical constructs of various types. Their engineers and mages can extract and burn the power supplied by their Celestial to devastating consequences for all who stand in their way. They thirst for the natural and spiritual resources presented by the emergence of other realms, and will sacrifice whatever it takes to dominate with cunning and mechanical mastery.
